Smell the Roses

Today, I stumbled upon a great link-up that I'm gonna love doing! Jessica, from Lovely Little Things, hosts a link-up every Monday called Smell the Roses. This weeks task is to write out ten things you are grateful for. So here we go!

[one.]
I am grateful for my mom being healed of LMS. If you haven't heard of LMS, it's a rare cancer that effects only six in one million women a year. Chemo and radiation do not work on this type of cancer. It attacks your organs and muscles, and basically just shuts your body down. But miraclously, and through the healing power of Jesus Christ, she was healed of her cancer.

[two.]
I am thakful for this dude. Even though we have our ups and downs, I will always love him with every fiber of my being.

[three.]
I am thankful that I get to babysit one of my favorite little girls on Thursday & Saturday! She's already turning one next month!

[four.]
I am thakful for re-do's and forgiveness. Thank You, Jesus, for displaying the ultimate forgivness. Thank You for forgiving me and allowing me to have re-do's without getting upset at me.

[five.]
I am grateful for gaining courage and allowing myself to be determined to overcome my fears, no matter how big or small they seem.

[six.]
I am grateful for "And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us? And if our God is with us, then what could stand against?"

[seven.]
I am thankful for books and bookstores. Seriously. They're my safety zone.

[eight.]
I am thankful for all things Southern. Thank You, LORD, for allowing me to be born a Southern lady.

[nine.]
I am thankful that fall will be here in the next few months. Wooooo.

[ten.]
I am grateful for this little ball of furry cuteness.

it's the little things

Josh helped me bake some cheddar bay biscuits last night, like the ones from Red Lobster. But I think my version was a lot better :) Isn't he handsome?

Azura fell asleep behind me in this weird position yesterday morning. She's the cutest chihuahua ever.

My mom's friend, Frank, came to treatment the other day with GREAT news! All of his cancer, except what's in his bones, is completely gone! Y'all, my God is mighty to save. Will you please pray for him with his continuation of the healing from the cancer in his bones? Also, please pray for the other beautiful people in treatment with my mom who are battling cancer.

Look at this groom's cake! Definitly going to have to get this for the wedding reception!

Mom comes home in about four weeks, for good! I can't wait till she is home so we can kick the wedding planning into full gear!

Friday Letters

Dear yesterday,
This sweet baby boy turned two years old. Where has the time gone? Just look at that red hair and big blue eyes! I hope he's ready to take on the role of ring bearer next summer!

Dear self,
Stop being so lazy. For real. Get off your butt and go to the dang grocery store. You're gonna get fat from all the fast food you've been eating. Not to mention how sick it's already made you.

Dear Joshua,
You will be arriving at my house in a few hours! You just got done working in the blazing desert outside here in Tennessee. I can't wait to read the books that I bought us on bringing out the best in each other. God knows we need to work on that haha. Just kidding (: Thank you for this sweet bunny from Build-A-Bear you gave me. You made it when you were twelve years old, and named it Rocky.

Dear internet,
You are seriously taking over my life.

Dear Mom,
Ever since you went to New York for treatment, I've been living off of fast food pretty much. Come home soon and cooook for me!

Zaxby's kids meals are a wonderful way to end the night after a great service at church. Especially with this dude. I so look forward to spending the rest of my life with him.

Loving some of these macaroon's today. Holymesstheseareyummy.

Loving this song today - Carry Me Through by Dave Barnes

Did y'all know that Furby's are coming back this fall!? Josh, if you read this by some random chance, please buy me one (:

I am going to subscribe to Umba Box as soon as I've saved up enough money! Handmade items delivered to my doorstep every month!? Heck yes please!

I will definitely be going on a Nash Trash tour as soon as my mom gets back in town at the end of August. It looks like a lot of fun!

I'm absolutely loving Today's Letters blog. I'm reading the entire blog, slowly making my way through each beautiful post they write!

This sweet little girl was just too cute to not share!

Be sure to keep the Colorado shooting victim's & their friends and family in our prayers. Also, pray for the man who commited this terrible act. God's mercy and forgiveness is wide and large enough to cover his sin also. The man is still in God's arm length.

This is pretty much what the day consisted of. A cupcake from Crumbs that I ate on the seaport, and walking by a group of kiddos playing in a fun park near Wall Street. Three more days until I can see my hunky man :) I'm enjoying New York, but I'm ready to be back at my homeland!
